Last Friday Vanessa, BB’s cousin/god daughter, came to spend a few days with us. So I was busy the last couple of days trying to keep baby and child busy, plus do the rest of the huge list I had to do….it wasn’t easy, but we did it. She actually turned in a little bit of a help but I know now that I would never have children that far apart in age. 11 months to 11 years is a big gap. But despite the sometimes similarities in behaviour, I know she had a great time and I enjoyed her company. And I think it was important that she got to vent a little bit about the problems at home knowing that I won’t rat on her.
She went home last night and I think after all we discussed I would have rather had her stay with us longer. But now that we live closer, I know she will be over often, and I am looking forward to it.
And today, well I am off to the Black Forest for four days of “All Things Scouting”. I am even giving a workshop on the differences between my Girl Guide experience to the DPSG movement here. I am looking forward to it. Although I know I will be homesick for my two babies and my bed! I will be taking my camera with me so I will show you all the Black Forest from the inside.
(FYI, the Black Forest is not black, and not really a forest, even tho it is a mostly wooded area, it’s more like a little mountain chain in the state of Baden-Württemburg)
So my blog friends, Happy Halloween! Have a great rest of the week, see you Monday!
